Pietronigro’s artistic output is as diverse as his professional experience. His exhibitions and installations have been featured in a wide array of venues, from the Rittenhouse Square Art Annual in Philadelphia (1975) to the Biennale Internationale Dell’Arte Contemporanea in Florence, Italy (2003). His solo exhibitions at institutions like the Hitachi Corporation (1997) and the William Way LGBTQ Community Center in Philadelphia (1999) highlight his versatility. Publications like the BAY AREA REPORTER, in October 1994, with a story titled “Exhibition Sates Hunger For Art,” and the SAN FRANCISCO BAY TIMES, in September 1994, which featured his painting “Stars and Stripes,” have chronicled his art career. His large-scale video installations, such as “Pietronigro Drift Painting Jumbotron Video Installation” at Three Rivers Stadium (2007) and “I See The Earth” for Yuri’s Night Bay Area (2008), demonstrate his ability to use technology to create immersive and awe-inspiring experiences.
